1903 Rockford Winnebago 18 Size, 14K Yellow Gold Box Hinge Pocket Watch
This substantial and stunning box hinge pocket watch was crafted by the Rockford Watch Company in 1903 and appears to have seen little use since. The large 14k yellow gold case is incredibly crisp. The engine turning and the engraving, including the tasteful "DGM" monogram, are extremely sharp. Mint coin-edge sides. The case back and inner dust cover are similarly outstanding. The hinges are tight throughout, with the hunter case opening to a sharp 90 degree angle. Tight original bow and crown. The original double sunk porcelain dial gleams underneath the original blue steel spade hands. A faint hairline runs from 12 O'Clock to the top of the subsidiary seconds dial, but overall the condition is excellent. The high-grade Rockford 17 jewel Winnebago movement is running strong and keeping excellent time, having just been serviced by our master watchmaker. This is an unbelievable example of an iconic pocket watch.
